| EWA St. Anton am Arlberg GmbH operates the two power stations Moosbach and Rosanna, both named after local rivers. Moosbach has an output of 2 x 0.6 MW and was built between 1966 – 1969, while Rosanna, built in 1984, produces 1 x 1.7 MW. Both plants are equipped with Pelton turbines from Voith Siemens Hydro.
At the beginning of the 90s, first plans were made for a considerably larger project, the pump storage plant Kartell with an output of 10 MW. The new plant will be situated above Rosanna hydropower station. Rosanna will benefit from the Kartell storage plant to be built at approx. 2000 m reservoir level, in terms of future water flow and annual outputs with a volume of approx. 8.10 million m3.
In 2004, Voith Siemens Hydro received an order for the delivery, assembly and commissioning of the two horizontal 2-jet Pelton turbines, including digital governors with oil pressure systems and the two turbine spherical valves type NW 500 and PN 64, with all associated fixtures and fittings.
